Grades 9-12 Tista is a socially inept college student who keeps to herself until she's saved from a speeding vehicle by Arty Drawer, an art student who attends some of her same classes. But Tista can't get too close to anyone because her real job, her main purpose in life, is to use her special abilities and monstrous sight as Sister Militia, a deadly assassin who can snipe targets from more than 1,500 feet away. Tista's missions revolve around ridding the world of evil, and her religious teachings and masters steer her towards targets who are drug lords, sexual offenders, and murderers. While this narrative is not as clean and tidy as Spy x Family, Endo's most famous work, this tackles some of the same principles. The illustrations are a little unpolished, with a distinct lack of heavy lines and clear definitions, especially when characters are in motion. However, there are some incredibly detailed scenes of photographic-quality churches and the devilishly detailed weapons Tista uses. This work might be better suited to larger collections where Burn the Witch or Mission: Yozakura Family have strong readership.
