楚辞是我国春秋战国时代楚文化的结晶，它是继《诗经》后我国古代又一部具有深远影响的诗歌总集。楚辞不但是汉代赋体文学的根祖，而且还主宰了四百多年两汉文学艺术思潮，给予了中国文学艺术极大的影响。现在我们能见到的最早的《楚辞》注本是王逸的《楚辞章句》，本书《楚辞全译》即以《楚辞章句》为基础，注译了其全部作品，另外还增补了贾谊著名的 《鵩鸟赋》《吊屈原赋》两篇辞作。本书译文，为了准确多采用直译；注释则择古今学者合理解释而从之，言之有据。
