      Grades 7-12 In The Eccentric Doctor of the Moon Flower Kingdom, a charming and enthusiastic young girl with a talent for medicine meets a secretive crown prince with little experience in the ways of the world. In the Moon Flower Kingdom, medical knowledge is rare and superstition is often the only treatment anyone can get. When Prince Keiun's loyal servant is injured, he manages to find a doctor with the expertise to help--a girl named Koyou, who resembles the moon goddess. Determined to change the Moon Kingdom with her knowledge, Keiun whisks Koyou and her assistant away to the palace without revealing his identity. Beautifully illustrated, this is a charming story with fun characters and exciting court intrigue. The first volume lays a lot of groundwork, but there's still time for action and the seeds of romance to be planted. The characters have excellent chemistry, and Koyou in particular shines with her intelligence and eccentric behavior. This is a compulsively readable manga with a fun premise.
